These Terms of Service govern the use of the CarFix mobile application developed by TCLabs and the related pages on tclabs.app. Continued use of the application means you have read and accepted these terms.

1. Service Description

CarFix is a community-driven vehicle knowledge platform built for Turkish car owners. The application provides garage management, an engine-level consolidated chronic-issue database, a Q&A forum, risk score, maintenance calendar, direct messaging, and a notification center. The service is offered free of charge; revenue is supported through banner advertisements.

2. Account and Membership

• You must create an account to use the application. You may sign up using email + password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google.
• You are responsible for the privacy and security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others.
• Users under 13 may not use the application.
• Creating accounts with false identities is prohibited.
• Each user may have only one account; multiple-account (sock-puppet) use to manipulate the community is prohibited.

3. Community Guidelines

You must comply with the following rules in forum threads, replies, chronic-issue comments, and private messages:

• Respectful language: Insults, profanity, personal attacks, and racist/sexist/religiously discriminatory speech are prohibited.
• Spam and ads: Promotion of off-app products/services, dropshipping links, and irrelevant thread creation are prohibited.
• Misinformation: Knowingly false fault descriptions, fabricated testimonials, or misleading solutions are prohibited.
• Copyright: Copying others' written/visual content without permission is prohibited. Cite sources.
• Personal information: Sharing others' license plate, phone number, address, etc. without permission is prohibited.
• Illegal content: Discussion of illegal modifications (odometer rollback, plate cloning, etc.), trade in stolen parts, or similar content is prohibited.
• NSFW / violence: Obscene, violent, or disturbing visual/textual content is prohibited.

Content violating these rules may be removed by the moderation team. Repeated violations result in temporary or permanent account suspension.

4. Content Ownership and License

• Copyright in the content you share (forum questions, replies, comments, messages) remains with you.
• However, to enable us to deliver the service — display, distribute — you grant TCLabs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, display, translate, and adapt this content.
• If you delete your account, your content is removed from the application; however, contexts in which other users have quoted or referenced your content may remain in the archive.
• The chronic-issues database consists of admin-approved content. An approved chronic-issue entry is considered a contribution to the platform's knowledge pool and may be edited by admins.

5. Information Accuracy and Disclaimer

CarFix is a community-driven knowledge platform enriched by sharing among car owners and experts. Pay particular attention to the following:

• All information, suggested solutions, cost estimates, and chronic-issue descriptions shared in the application are for informational purposes only and do not substitute for professional mechanical advice.
• All maintenance, repair, or modification decisions for your vehicle are your own responsibility. Consult an authorized service before critical interventions.
• The risk score is a statistical indicator based on chronic-issue density; it may not reflect your vehicle's actual condition. It does not substitute for a mechanical inspection.
• TCLabs is not liable for damage to a vehicle resulting from following community members' advice.
• Forum comments reflect users' personal experiences; they are not official statements from manufacturers or service centers.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Content

• CarFix displays banner ads through Google AdMob. TCLabs is not responsible for the content of these ads.
• When you tap an AdMob ad and are redirected to a third-party website, that website's terms and privacy policy apply.
• The application may in the future offer store rating prompts (Apple StoreKit), personalized ads (with App Tracking Transparency permission), and other monetization tools; these will be transparently announced.

7. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account deletion:

• Reverse-engineering the application, extracting source code, or modifying it
• Sending requests to the application via automated bots, scrapers, or scripts (exceeding rate limits)
• Attempting unauthorized access to other users' accounts (session hijacking, social engineering, etc.)
• Producing spam content that disrupts the community atmosphere
• Manipulating the rating system with fake reviews
• Building a chain of fake accounts to generate large numbers of invitation codes
• Conducting DDoS or similar denial-of-service attacks

8. Service Changes and Termination

• TCLabs reserves the right to update the application, add or remove features, and discontinue service at any time.
• Significant changes are announced via in-app notification and email.
• Your account may be suspended or deleted with or without warning if you violate these terms.
• You may permanently delete your account at any time from within the application via Account Settings → Delete Account.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• TCLabs provides CarFix "as is" without any express or implied warranties.
• It is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the application.
• TCLabs's total liability — except where prohibited by law — shall not exceed twice the amount the user has paid to the application in the past 12 months. Since the application is free, this amount is calculated as zero.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and, if necessary, indemnify TCLabs, its employees, and its partners from all lawsuits, demands, and damages arising from your violation of laws, infringement of third-party rights, or material breach of these terms.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the CarFix application itself, its logo, the "CF" mark, design, source code, the structure of the chronic-issues database, and admin-created content belong to TCLabs. They may not be copied, derivative works produced, or distributed without written permission.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms of service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. All disputes arising from these terms or the use of the application are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul. However, users with consumer status retain the right to apply to consumer courts in their place of residence.

13. Changes to Terms

TCLabs reserves the right to modify these terms of service. Significant changes are announced via in-app notification, email, or the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the application after changes are made means you accept the new terms.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement governing your use of CarFix. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision does not affect the validity of other provisions.
